Nigerian Afrobeats star Fireboy DML has officially announced his new single, “CLAAT!”, set for release on August 7, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career. The singer teased the track with a black-and-white visual on social media, captioned simply, “CLAAT! 08/07,” sending fans into a frenzy.
The release will serve as the lead single for Fireboy’s upcoming fifth album era, “Zuko!”, following a relatively quiet 2025. Since bursting onto the scene with his 2019 debut album Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps, the YBNL star has become one of Afrobeats’ biggest exports with projects including Apollo, Playboy and 2024’s Adedamola.
Fans have already been praising the snippet’s catchy hook and energetic production, with many predicting another hit from the “Peru” hitmaker. The teaser has sparked anticipation as Fireboy prepares to launch what could be one of the biggest Nigerian music releases of the month.
