A major international controversy has erupted after Ukraine accused Russia of deliberately targeting a UNESCO World Heritage site during a large-scale missile and drone attack on Kyiv. This incident has intensified global criticism of Moscow’s military campaign.
The overnight assault damaged the historic Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery, one of Ukraine’s most important religious and cultural landmarks.
