Seyi Vibez’s “Ilome” has climbed to No. 1 on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Songs chart, giving the Nigerian street-pop star another major milestone just a week after releasing his new album, SWAGUU. As of September 24, “Ilome” sits ahead of “GTA” and “VOLUME,” with 13 of the Top 15 songs coming from the album.
The bigger story, however, is how quickly SWAGUU has turned Nigeria’s streaming charts into a contest between Seyi Vibez songs.
‘Ilome’ Takes the Lead After a Week of Chart Changes
SWAGUU was released on September 17, 2026, and initially saw “GTA” and “VOLUME” battle for the top position on Apple Music Nigeria. On September 21, “GTA” had reclaimed No. 1 after exchanging the spot with “VOLUME” several times.
“Ilome” has now moved ahead of both tracks, showing that the album’s strongest song is still changing as listeners spend more time with the full project.
The song is also performing strongly on Spotify Nigeria. On September 23, “Ilome” reached No. 1 on Spotify Nigeria’s Daily Top Songs chart with more than 416,000 streams, becoming the third song from SWAGUU to reach the summit.
Why SWAGUU Is Dominating Nigerian Streaming
The scale of the album’s performance is what makes this release different. Shortly after its release, 13 of the 14 tracks on SWAGUU occupied the Apple Music Nigeria Top 14. The album also reached No. 1 on the platform’s Top Albums chart.
Rather than relying on one breakout single, Seyi Vibez appears to be benefiting from listeners streaming the project as a complete body of work. Tracks including “GTA,” “VOLUME,” “BACK 2 U,” “DIAMONDS,” “PANSA,” “GOD” and “ALUBARIKA” have all spent time near the top of the Nigerian charts.
That gives SWAGUU a different kind of chart power. Even when one song falls from No. 1, another Seyi Vibez track is already positioned to take its place.
The Next Test Is Whether the Momentum Lasts
The first week shows strong demand, but the longer-term test will be whether SWAGUU can keep multiple songs high on the charts after the initial release-week streaming rush fades.
For now, “Ilome” has become the latest leader in an album that continues to dominate Nigerian streaming. With Seyi Vibez’s songs occupying almost the entire top section of Apple Music Nigeria, the competition is increasingly happening within SWAGUU itself.
