Nigeria’s most watched reality TV show is making its return, and the excitement is already building to a fever pitch.
MultiChoice Nigeria has officially announced the return of Big Brother Naija for its 11th season, with the announcement made via the official BBNaija Instagram page which read: “Biggie is calling. Are you ready to answer?”
The show is set to premiere on July 26, 2026, maintaining the tradition of a late July launch that Nigerians have come to anticipate every year. Auditions are currently underway, and MultiChoice has not yet revealed specifics on whether this year’s auditions will return to a fully physical format, remain virtual, or adopt a hybrid approach.
Season 11 arrives on the heels of a successful Season 10. Last year’s edition, tagged “10/10,” featured 29 housemates and ran for 72 days, with Opeyemi “Imisi” Ayanwale emerging as winner to the delight of fans across the country.
With each passing season, BBNaija has grown into more than a reality show — it is a cultural institution. It launches careers, births relationships, stirs national debates, and dominates social media timelines from the moment the first housemate walks through the door.
