Indigenous rap star Zlatan Ibile is generating massive excitement across southwestern Nigeria ahead of his highly anticipated “Homecoming” concert at his alma mater, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), scheduled for Tuesday, July 1. The event, which is free for students, has quickly become one of the most talked-about entertainment gatherings on Nigerian campuses this year.
The concert will take place at the MAPOLY Sports Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State, marking Zlatan’s return to the institution where he studied before launching his music career. The rapper announced the event on social media, describing it as a celebration of the place that shaped his dreams long before he became one of Nigeria’s biggest street-hop stars.
Tagged “Homecoming – Symbol of Hope,” the event is more than just a concert. Zlatan is also expected to unveil a fully equipped music studio on campus, a project aimed at supporting aspiring musicians, producers and content creators within the institution. The initiative has been widely praised as a meaningful way of giving back to the school community that helped launch his journey.
