Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, has been granted bail as his Poco Lee UK court case continues over five sexual offence charges.
The case remains active despite social media rumours suggesting that the matter had been dropped or settled. Poco Lee is due to continue through the UK court process, with the case expected to move toward trial in 2027.
Poco Lee Granted Bail as Case Continues
Snaresbrook Crown Court confirmed that Poco Lee was granted bail on September 11, 2026, shortly before his scheduled plea and trial preparation hearing. The court had previously confirmed that he faces one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The bail decision does not mean the allegations have been dismissed. The Poco Lee sexual offence case remains before the court, and the charges have not been determined.
Poco Lee has denied committing the alleged offences. A reporting restriction is also in place to protect the identity of the complainant.
Why the September Hearing Matters
The September 15 proceeding is a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, or PTPH. It is not the trial itself.
The hearing is part of the process used to establish how the case will proceed, including the defendant’s plea and preparations for a possible trial. The latest developments therefore mark another step in a legal process that could continue for several months.
Reports indicate that the trial is expected to take place in March 2027, meaning the September hearing is more about preparing the case than deciding Poco Lee’s guilt or innocence.
Online Rumours Complicate the Case
The case has also shown how quickly information about high-profile legal matters can spread online.
Earlier reports claimed Poco Lee had been released and that the complainant had withdrawn the case or reached an agreement. However, the court’s confirmation of his bail does not support the idea that the case has ended.
For now, the most important development is that Poco Lee remains an accused person, not a convicted person, and the allegations will have to be tested through the UK legal process. The next major stage will be the continued court proceedings ahead of the expected 2027 trial.
