Tinubu Assures Deloitte of Economic Growth as FG Launches $500m Niger Delta Agriculture Fund

President Bola Tinubu has assured executives from Deloitte Africa that Nigeria’s economy is on a steady growth trajectory, citing recent reforms aimed at restoring macroeconomic stability, improving investor confidence and sustaining long-term development. The President said his administration remains committed to fiscal discipline, private sector-led growth and policies that will strengthen the country’s economic fundamentals.

The remarks come as Nigeria records a decline in inflation to 15.91%, adding to signs of improving economic conditions. Tinubu told the Deloitte delegation that ongoing reforms would continue to stimulate growth, enhance public finances and create a more attractive environment for domestic and foreign investment.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has unveiled a $500 million Niger Delta Agricultural Investment Fund to boost food production, attract private capital and improve food security across the oil-producing region. Launched by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the initiative will invest in sectors including aquaculture, palm oil and marine resources while leveraging support from multilateral lenders and private investors.
