Reports indicate Iran’s team has been required to depart the US within hours after some matches due to visa and logistical restrictions. The federation argues that the situation affects player recovery, training plans, and the team’s ability to prepare properly for upcoming fixtures.
Iranian captain Mehdi Taremi described the situation as a major setback for the squad, while officials questioned why the team could not follow schedules similar to other World Cup participants. The federation says it submitted its preparations well in advance but faced repeated changes imposed by organisers.
