The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the biggest edition in history, with 48 teams competing across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It will also be the first time the tournament is hosted by three countries at the same time.
The tournament is set to begin on June 11, 2026, at the famous Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The final will take place on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States.
This edition introduces a new format with 48 teams, expanded from 32. The teams will be divided into 12 groups of four. After the group stage, the competition moves into a Round of 32, followed by the Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.
