If Episode One of the BBNaija Season 10 reunion belonged to Thelma’s tears, Episode Two belonged to Victory’s mouth, and not in a good way.
The second night of the highly anticipated ’10 Over 10′ reunion, which aired Tuesday on Africa Magic, saw housemate Victory Okokon make a series of remarks about fellow former housemate Gigi Jasmine that sent social media into a frenzy and left viewers, fellow housemates, and even host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu visibly struggling to keep up.
How It Started
The trouble began when Ebuka drew out the season’s famously tangled entanglement map, mentioning that Victory and Gigi Jasmine’s relationship was one of the most talked-about ships of the season. Gigi had developed feelings for Victory during their time in the house, but Victory kept his options open, choosing Joanna as his Head of House companion over Gigi, and offering mixed signals that left fans divided.
What viewers didn’t know until Tuesday night was that the story continued long after Gigi’s eviction.
The Hotel Room Confession
Victory revealed on the reunion couch that on the night of Gigi’s eviction, the two ended up in the same hotel room. “We ended up doing what adults do,” he said, confirming they had been intimate after the show.
The disclosure alone was enough to ignite Twitter. But Victory didn’t stop there.
He went on to explain why he cut contact with Gigi afterwards, and the language he used shocked nearly everyone watching. He claimed he stopped calling and blocked Gigi because, in his words, she was “someone that liked anything that has a d**k.” He also suggested that her body count was high; comments that were widely condemned online as slut-shaming.
“Victory casting their sexual activity on live TV is peak foolery,” one viewer wrote. “He had to say he slept with Gigi to throw her off guard. That was hella unnecessary on all levels.”
Another added, “The slut-shaming from Victory to Gigi. I’m speechless.”
Sultana Shuts Him Down
Victory’s troubles did not end with Gigi. When he attempted to deny that he had ever expressed romantic interest in Sultana during the season, Sultana was having none of it.
“Correct yourself,” she told him. “You cannot lie on top of my head.”
The moment landed hard. Victory had previously told Sultana he wanted to marry her, and Twitter immediately began pulling the receipts.
One user said, “Victory, you told Sultana you liked her. Sultana said she would play you because she was friends with Gigi Jasmine. What are you saying now?”
The Damage Control
Even worse, shortly after the episode aired, Victory posted on social media saying, “One person hurt me, not a whole gender. I don’t hate women. I hate pigs.”
The post was met with immediate backlash, with many viewers pointing out the irony of the statement given what he had just said on national television.
The Aftermath
The response online was largely one-sided. Viewers called Victory’s comments disrespectful, unnecessary, and damaging. Many started to question his prospects for brand endorsements after the episode.
A minority defended him, arguing he was simply being honest. But the dominant sentiment was clear: whatever Victory’s grievances with Gigi Jasmine, voicing them the way he did on national television was a step too far.
As for Gigi, she acknowledged her own part in the situation by the end of the segment, admitting that she had been delusional about the relationship and apologizing for her role in the drama with Sultana. Sultana declined the apology.
Victory left Episode Two on the reunion as one of its most talked-about figures, but for all the wrong reasons.
