Nigerian content creator Carter Efe became emotional during a livestream after revealing he was unable to attend Kai Cenat’s Streamer University in the United States because his visa was not approved in time. Carter had been selected to participate in the invite-only program, making him one of the first African creators chosen for the high-profile streaming bootcamp.
According to Carter, his visa application was submitted too late to be processed before the event began. During the livestream, he fought back tears as he spoke about missing what he described as a life-changing opportunity. The program brings together top streamers and content creators for workshops, collaborations and networking sessions on a U.S. university campus.
The emotional moment quickly went viral, with thousands of fans expressing sympathy and pointing to the travel hurdles many African creators face despite receiving international invitations. Fellow entertainer Davido also offered words of encouragement, saying Carter had already earned global recognition regardless of the visa setback.
