Labour Party chieftain and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, Peter Obi, has held talks with the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria in a meeting centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing Nigeria’s development priorities.

“I appreciate Switzerland’s sustained support for Nigeria, particularly in the North-East, where humanitarian assistance has helped many communities affected by insurgency,” Obi said after the meeting, adding that collaboration with international partners remains vital in addressing the country’s social and economic challenges.
