The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared alleged drug kingpin Nnamuka Kelvin Uchenna, popularly known as “Odogwu,” and three of his associates wanted over their alleged involvement in operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory in Imo State.
The agency also secured a court order freezing ₦9.84 billion linked to the suspects and obtained interim forfeiture of multiple assets believed to be proceeds of illicit drug trafficking.
The three other suspects declared wanted are Emmanuella Chinonso Iroka, Nnamuka Ifeanyi Kingsley, and Ekechi Franklin Chijioke, also known as Ekene Okwunaga. The Federal High Court in Owerri granted the order after the NDLEA filed an application following investigations into a methamphetamine laboratory uncovered on February 25, 2026, at Isiozi, Umuaka in Imo State’s Njaba Local Government Area. During the raid, operatives recovered 18.4 kilograms of methamphetamine alongside chemicals and equipment used for production.
According to the NDLEA, investigations linked the four suspects to the operation, but they fled before they could be arrested. In addition to freezing their bank accounts, the agency obtained interim forfeiture of assets including a filling station, residential buildings and four luxury SUVs believed to have been acquired with proceeds from the drug trade.
NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd.) described the action as a major blow against organised drug trafficking and vowed the agency would continue using intelligence, financial investigations and forensic tools to dismantle criminal networks and bring the suspects to justice.
