Poco Lee’s Team Defends Zlatan as UK Legal Case Fuels Social Media Speculation

The management of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has publicly defended Zlatan Ibile after online criticism suggested that the rapper had failed to support him during his ongoing UK legal case.

In a statement issued on September 16, Poco Lee’s management said Zlatan, along with others, had been “extremely supportive and helpful” throughout the matter. The team said their involvement had been important in moving things forward and asked the public to stop spreading negative narratives about the rapper.

The statement does not give details about exactly what Zlatan did, but it directly challenges the impression created online that he had been absent during Poco Lee’s difficult period.

How the Zlatan Controversy Started

The Poco Lee Zlatan support debate grew after Poco Lee spoke publicly about people who stood by him during his UK ordeal. In that conversation, he mentioned Burna Boy and Rahman Jago, which led some social media users to question why Zlatan was not mentioned.

That discussion became bigger after commentator VeryDarkMan made claims about Poco Lee’s UK trip and Zlatan’s involvement. Zlatan later posted the brief message “Crazy industry” on X without directly naming Poco Lee or explaining what he meant.

Poco Lee’s management has now provided a different picture, saying the support was happening away from public attention.

The Legal Case Remains Separate

The clarification comes while the Poco Lee UK legal case continues through the courts. Poco Lee is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK, including two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

He has denied the allegations and has not been convicted of any offence. His plea and trial preparation hearing has been moved to February 8, 2027, while the trial is scheduled for March 8, 2027.

His management has previously warned against treating online claims as established facts and stressed that the case should be allowed to follow the legal process.

A Lesson in Public and Private Support

The Zlatan Ibile supports Poco Lee story also raises a wider question about celebrity friendships in the social media era. Public visibility can easily become a measure of loyalty, even when people dealing with serious personal or legal problems may prefer to keep their support private.

For now, Poco Lee’s team has made its position clear: Zlatan was involved and supportive, even if much of that support was not visible online. The legal case itself remains before the UK courts, while the public waits for the next hearing in February 2027.
