Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is on the verge of joining RC Strasbourg on a season-long loan, with only the final details of his salary package left to be agreed before the deal is completed.
The 24-year-old Danish international has already left Chelsea’s pre-season camp to finalise the move after struggling for regular first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge. Signed from Villarreal in 2024 for around £20.7 million, Jorgensen found himself behind Robert Sánchez in the pecking order and is now set for a fresh start in Ligue 1.
Strasbourg, who share ownership with Chelsea under BlueCo, view Jorgensen as their preferred first-choice goalkeeper for the new season. The loan is seen as an opportunity for him to gain consistent top-flight experience before returning to Chelsea to compete for a place in the future.
