Reports Link Tottenham With €65m Move for Jules Koundé as Romano Dismisses Transfer Talk

Reports in Spain have linked Tottenham Hotspur with a potential move for Barcelona defender Jules Koundé, claiming the Premier League club are considering a €65 million bid for the French international. Koundé is viewed as a key target as Spurs look to strengthen their defence amid uncertainty surrounding the futures of some of their defenders.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the speculation, stating there is currently “nothing” between Tottenham and Koundé. According to Romano, there is no interest, no negotiations, and no active discussions between the clubs despite the reports circulating in Spain.

Barcelona continue to regard Koundé as one of the most important players in Hansi Flick’s squad due to his ability to play both at centre-back and right-back. While the Catalan club remain under financial pressure, any deal would likely require a significantly higher offer and Koundé’s own approval.
