Global pop superstar Justin Bieber has officially been announced as the latest co-headliner for the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, adding even more star power to what is expected to be one of the biggest live musical events in history. The landmark performance will take place on 19 July at the New York New Jersey Stadium, just before the 2026 FIFA World Cup champions are crowned.
FIFA and Global Citizen confirmed that Bieber will join an all-star lineup featuring Madonna, Shakira and BTS as co-headliners. The show will also include performances from Burna Boy, renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus, with creative direction led by Chris Martin of Coldplay. FIFA expects the 11-minute spectacle to attract a global television audience running into the billions.
Beyond entertainment, the halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to raise $100 million to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world. FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the event as a celebration of football, music and global unity, while Global Citizen said it hopes the performance will inspire action far beyond the final whistle.
Bieber expressed his excitement about taking part in the historic occasion, saying the FIFA World Cup has a unique ability to bring people together across cultures and continents. His addition follows recent headline performances at major international events and further elevates anticipation for the inaugural World Cup halftime show.
