Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that maintaining his lifestyle as one of Africa’s biggest music stars costs him between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, and that figure does not include expenses for his wife, children, luxury cars, jewelry or household. He made the disclosure during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel.
According to the singer, his monthly spending depends on where he is. He explained that he spends significantly less when he is in the United States because he lives a quieter family life with his wife, Chioma, and their children. However, when he is travelling or actively working, his expenses rise considerably due to the demands of his career and public profile.
Davido stressed that the estimate excludes major purchases such as luxury vehicles and jewelry, meaning his total monthly expenditure can be much higher. The revelation has sparked widespread reactions online, with some fans pointing to his successful music career, endorsement deals and sold-out tours as justification for his lavish lifestyle, while others questioned the timing of the comments amid Nigeria’s current economic challenges.
