Breaking: NSC, NFF ‘Appoint’ Chelle As U-23 Head Coach

Super Eagles Head Coach Eric Chelle has been mandated to take charge of the Nigeria U-23 men’s football national team, reports Newslegend.

The U-23 side, winners of the football event of the 1996 Olympics have had floundering performances in recent Olympics
Games albeit they won silver in 2008 and the bronze medal 2016.

The decision to appoint the Franco-malian was taken on Tuesday when the eggheads of the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) met on Tuesday, June 23, with the Super Eagles boss in Abuja.

The meeting was attended by National Sports Commission (NSC) chairman Shehu Dikko, the Director-general Bukola Olapade, the Nigeria Football Federation President, Ibrahim Gusau, Secretary-general Mohammed Dr Mohammed Sanusi and the Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle.
