Germany booked their place in the round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a nervy 2-1 win over Cote d’Ivoire.
Saturday evening’s game against the African side was a tough one for the Germans as they behind to a Franck Kessie goal in the 30th minute.

The Ivorians had the momentum as the game went on but Undav had other plans as he scored a decisive 94th minute winner from close range with an exquisite finish after ab assist from Nigerian-born Felix Nmecha.
Undav was only a second half substitute, brought into the contest by head coach Julian Nagelsmann in the second half.
Cote d’Ivoire can still qualify for the knockout stages of they are able to get all three points against debutants Curacao.
