Manchester United are considering a move for Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams as they continue reshaping their midfield ahead of the new season. The 27-year-old United States international has emerged as a more affordable option, with reports suggesting a deal could cost around £35 million.
United have already invested heavily in midfield this summer following the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, but the club is still exploring another addition after Casemiro’s departure and Manuel Ugarte’s injury. Adams is admired for his work rate, defensive intensity and Premier League experience.
However, there are concerns over his recent injury record. Hamstring and knee problems limited Adams to just 25 Premier League appearances last season, although his performances when fit have convinced United’s recruitment team to keep him on their shortlist. Bournemouth are not actively looking to sell and are expected to demand a significant fee if negotiations progress.
No formal bid has been submitted, with United still assessing several midfield targets before deciding their next move.
