Belgian forward Leandro Trossard has officially completed his permanent move from Arsenal to Turkish giants Beşiktaş, bringing an end to a memorable spell in North London. Arsenal confirmed the transfer after the 31-year-old agreed personal terms and passed his medical in Istanbul. The deal is worth €18 million upfront, with a further €2 million in performance-related add-ons.
Trossard leaves Arsenal after making 174 appearances, scoring 36 goals and providing 34 assists across all competitions. Since arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023, he established himself as one of Mikel Arteta’s most reliable attacking players, earning the nickname “Mr Clutch” for his decisive goals during Arsenal’s successful 2025/26 Premier League title-winning campaign.
In a heartfelt farewell message to Arsenal supporters, Trossard thanked the club, his teammates and the fans for their unwavering support throughout his time at the Emirates.
“Thank you, Arsenal. From the very first day, you made me and my family feel at home. Wearing this badge has been an honour, and I’ll always cherish the memories we created together. Once a Gunner, always a Gunner.”
Beşiktaş are expected to unveil Trossard in front of supporters at Tüpraş Stadium as they continue strengthening under José Mourinho. Meanwhile, Arsenal are already exploring attacking reinforcements, with several wide players reportedly on their shortlist as they prepare for the new season.
