Apple TV and Apple Arcade Come to Nigeria as iCloud+ Starts at ₦1,300

apple tv and apple arcade come to nigeria

Apple is expanding its services business in Nigeria by bringing Apple TV and Apple Arcade to the country through its iCloud+ plans.

Starting this month, Nigerian users with a paid iCloud+ subscription will get access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost. The cheapest iCloud+ plan starts at ₦1,300 per month for 50GB of storage.

The move gives Nigerians official access to Apple TV for the first time. The service includes Apple Originals such as Ted Lasso, Severance, The Studio and F1, alongside films, documentaries and family programming.

One Subscription Now Does More

The bigger change is how Apple is packaging its services.

Instead of paying separately for cloud storage, gaming and television, Nigerian subscribers can now get all three through iCloud+. Apple Arcade offers more than 200 games, including Football Manager 26 Touch, NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition and Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition. The games have no advertising or in-app purchases and can be played across supported Apple devices.

Family Sharing also allows an iCloud+ subscription to be shared with up to five family members, potentially making the bundle more useful for households with several Apple users.

Apple Changes How Nigerians Access Its Services

There is another important change for existing subscribers.

Apple says Apple TV and Apple Arcade will no longer be available as standalone subscriptions in Nigeria. Users who already subscribe to either service individually will continue receiving access through their new iCloud+ subscription, while their existing standalone subscriptions will be cancelled. Apple says Apple Arcade game progress and saves will be preserved.

Nigerian iCloud+ users can choose from several storage tiers, including 50GB for ₦1,300, 200GB for ₦4,500 and 2TB for ₦14,900 per month.

What the Expansion Means

The rollout gives Apple a wider services footprint in Nigeria without requiring users to buy separate subscriptions for each product.

It also brings Nigerian consumers closer to the full Apple ecosystem, particularly in entertainment and gaming. With Apple TV expanding to 59 additional countries through the rollout, the company is using its existing iCloud customer base to introduce more services to markets that previously had limited access.

For Nigerian Apple users, the immediate question is no longer whether Apple TV is available. It is how much value they can get from the expanded iCloud+ package.
